The adidas Men`s Barricade Tennis Shoes are back, and ready to stomp the competition. The shoe first appeared in the year 2000, and helped it usher in a new breed of tennis. The Barricade is designed as a shoe for the ultimate athlete who needs the utmost in support and durability. For torsional stability, adidas built the Barricade with a TPU midfoot shank. The shoe's lacing system is built in to secure the foot using the integrated eye stays, and there is extra protection for the medial laces thanks to the asymmetrical design. To improve the durability of the shoe, ADITUFF abrasion mapping and a new ADIWEAR rubber compound are included in the outsole. As a part of adidas` ongoing Primegreen effort, 50% of the shoe`s upper is composed of recycled polyester. The Barricade is back, and it`s better than ever.
Upper: The innovative U-throat design combines an asymmetrical lacing system with hidden medial eyelets to protect the laces when sliding. The integrated lateral eye stay enhances support where you need it most. The adidas logo on the medial side serves as medial abrasion resistance. Primegreen recycled polyester comprises 50% of the upper material.
